3.5.6 sntp authenticate

The sntp authenticate global configuration command grants authentication for received Network Time Protocol (NTP)
traffic from servers,. To disable the feature, use the no form of this command.
Syntax
sntp authenticate
no sntp authenticate
This command has no arguments or keywords.
Default Configuration
No authentication

The command is relevant for both unicast and broadcast.
Examples
The following example defines the authentication key for SNTP and grants authentication.
cnsole(config)# sntp authentication-key 8 md5 ClkKey

3.5.7 sntp trusted-key

The sntp trusted-key global configuration command authenticates the identity of a system to which Simple Network Time
Protocol (SNTP) will synchronize. To disable authentication of the identity of the system, use the no form of this command.
Syntax
sntp trusted-key key-number
no sntp trusted-key key-number

key-number — Key number of authentication key to be trusted. (Range: 1 - 4294967295)

Not trusted.
