DISPOSAL OF THE SERVER
Dispose the server, all the internal devices and DVD/CD-ROMs according to all national laws and
regulations. Also dispose of the power cord provided with the server to avoid diversion to some other
devices.
Disposing of your used NEC product
In the European Union
EU-wide legislation as implemented in each Member State requires that used electrical and used
electronic products carrying the mark (above) must be disposed of separately from normal
household waste. When disposing of used NEC products, you should comply with applicable
legislation or such terms which may have been agreed between NEC and your company regarding
used products. The mark on the electrical and electronic products only applies to the current
European Union Member States.
Outside the European Union
If you wish to dispose of used electrical and electronic products outside the European Union, please
contact your local authority and ask for the correct method of disposal.
IMPORTANT :
For disposal (or replacement) of the battery of the server, consult
with your service representative.
It is the user's responsibility to completely erase or modify all the
data stored in storage device such as hard disk drive so that the data
cannot be restored.
NOTE :
If the real-time clock battery on the server has reached the end of its life,
the following message appears on the display while running the POST.
Contact your service representative to replace the battery.
