The following explains a site suitable for installing the rack cabinet.
● Place having available space of 1 m or more of front and rear, 60 cm or more of rigt and left, and
50 cm or more of upper of the server.
● The rack must be connected each other if two or more racks are installed.
● The stabilizers must be installed.
● Room that satisfies the following conditions for operation: * Temperature: 10 to 35ºC*1 Humidity:
20 to 80% (no condensation)
● Wall outlet to connect the supplied power cord.
● On level and strong floor (can stand the waight of 600 ㎏ or more)
We recommend that the server should be used in a room where temperature is in the range
between 15 to 25ºC.
*1 It is possible to use the server under 40°C when the server applies the BMCFW and BIOS
supporting the condition and does not have HDD#1,#4,#7,#10,SAS RAID BBU and external
SAS RAID controller. If any HDD is mounted on those slots, replace it with "Disk Dummy
Tray", NE3105-901.
Also refer to "1.4.6 Mode Settings" and set Maximum Ambient Temperature as 40 degrees
C to use under 40°C.
The servers shipped after March in 2012 apply the BMCFW and BIOS by default.
Consult with maintenance personnel of the maintenance service company for applying the
required BMCFW and BIOS to the server if necessary.
IMPORTANT:
Increase in temperature within the rack and air flow
If several servers are installed in the rack or if the ventilation within
the rack is not enough, the temperature in the rack may be raised
by the heat generated from the units, and be higher than the
operation temperature of the server (10 to 35°C*1).
This causes the server to operate improperly. Review the air flow
within the rack or in the room and take sufficient measures in
order to prevent the temperature within the rack from exceeding
the warranted temperature range during the system operation.
