Processor Core Frequency Switches (SW2 and SW3)

The core frequency switches are located on the system board. The following sections give the
location and default settings for SW2 and SW3 core frequency switches for ProLiant servers.
NOTE: Core frequency switches SW2 and SW3 must be set at the same default for each processor
speed.
The following figure shows the location and default setting for ProLiant 6400R servers core
frequency SW2 and SW3 switches for a 500-MHz processor. Core frequency switch SW2 must
be set to support processors 1 and 2. Core frequency switch SW3 must be set to support
processors 3 and 4.

The following table gives the corresponding SW2 and SW3 settings for the 500-MHz and 550-
MHz servers.
