Error Messages and Corrective Actions

The following shows error messages that are displayed on the LCD screen and their corrective actions.
Error message
Draw at least one OR
figure.
SD card access error
Illegal syntax in
expression.
Automatic setting failed.
Camera error
Calibration failed.
SYSTEM ERROR
(BOOT error)
Communication error
Input value is incorrect.
Passward is incorrect.
Timeout error.
(parallel I/O)
Insufficient free space of
memory.
Model registration failed. Make sure that images are being captured appropriately.
Loaded file is incorrect.

Error Messages and Corrective Actions
Probable cause
The NOT figure mode is used to delete part of a drawn area.
Draw in the OR region.
An error occurred during accessing of the SD card.
• Make sure that the SD card is inserted.
• Make sure that the SD card is not locked.
• Make sure that the attribute of files on the SD card is not read-only.
• Make sure that the SD card has not run out of free space.
An operation expression setting is probably illegal as follows:
• The number of brackets on the left and right differ.
• The region Nos. are continuous.
• The operators are continuous.
• The constants are continuous.
• The functions are continuous.
• There are not enough or too many function arguments.
Make sure that images are being captured appropriately.
If images are too dark, adjust the shutter speed or the brightness of the lighting.
A camera connection error occurred.
Make sure that the connector between the camera and the Controller is con-
nected correctly.
Execute sampling or specify points at three locations that are not on a straight
line.
A hardware error occurred.
A probable cause is a Controller malfunction.
Contact an OMRON sales representative.
A serial communications (RS-232C/422) error occurred.
• Make sure that the serial cable is connected correctly.
• Make sure that the communications specifications of the Controller match
those of the external device.
• Make sure that the external device is operating correctly.
• Make sure that the serial cable is not located near power lines or noise-gener-
ating sources.
The input numerical values are not within the permissible range.
Change the numerical values so that they are within the permissible range.
Input the correct password.
A timeout occurred in parallel I/O.
• Make sure that the DSA signal is connected correctly.
• Make sure that the DSA signal is connected correctly to the host side.
Delete unwanted banks and measurement items.
If images are too dark, adjust the shutter speed or the brightness of the lighting.
Specify the correct file and load the file again.
A fan error occurred.
A probable cause is a Controller malfunction.
