Solving CD-ROM Problems

Cause
The CD-ROM boot is not
enabled through the
Computer Setup utility.
CD-ROM drive is not
connected properly or not
properly terminated.
Most software problems occur as a result of the following:
The application was not installed correctly.
The CONFIG.SYS file was not configured correctly.
Memory was not allocated correctly.
The AUTOEXEC.BAT file was not edited correctly.
There is a conflict between applications.
Solution
Check that the memory modules have been
installed correctly and that mixed EDO and Fast
Page mode DRAM are in the same bank, then
run the Configuration utility.
Delete any TSRs that you do not need.
Check the memory requirements for the
application or add more memory to the
computer.
Solution
Run the Computer Setup utility and set the drive
priorities.
Refer to the documentation that came with the
CD-ROM.
