Cache memory is very fast pipeline burst memory used for
temporarily storing data for fast access by the processor. If
your computer does not have cache memory already installed,
it can be upgraded to include cache memory by adding an
optional 256-kilobyte pipeline burst L2 cache module
(Compaq part no. 237716-1) on the system board. To install an
optional cache module, complete the following steps:
1. Turn off the computer and remove the computer cover as
described in the section "Removing the Computer Cover."
2. Locate the cache connector on the system board.
