has turned off and the front camera
detects movement from the vehicle in
front, the engine will automatically
restart.

AUTO STOPinformation within the clus-
ter's Utility Information View.
NOTICE
僅 If the front camera has limited func-
tionality and cannot detect the depar-
ture of the vehicle in front, the engine
may not restart automatically. To
learn more about the limitations of the
front camera, please refer to 'Smart
ISG Function Limitations'
僅 If the Smart Idle Stop System has
turned off the vehicle, it will automati-
cally restart when you release the
brake pedal, regardless of the auto-
matic restart function.

Idle Stop and Go (ISG) system
Limitations of Smart Idle Stop
System
The Smart Idle Stop and Go (ISG) func-
tion may not operate properly or may
unexpectedly activate in the following
situations:
僅 The detection sensor or its surround-
ings are contaminated or damaged
僅 The temperature around the front
view camera is high or low due to the
surrounding environment
僅 When the camera lens is tinted, filmed
or coated
僅 When the windscreen has been dam-
aged, or contaminated by sticky for-
eign material (sticker, bug, etc.)
僅 Moisture is not removed or frozen on
the windscreen
僅 Washer fluid is continuously sprayed,
or the wiper is on
僅 Driving in heavy rain or snow or thick
fog
僅 The field of view of the front view
camera is obstructed by sun glare or
intense light
僅 Street lights or the light from an
oncoming vehicle is reflected on a wet
road surface, such as a puddle on the
road
僅 An object is placed on the instrument
panel
僅 The vehicle is being towed
僅 The surroundings are very bright
僅 The surroundings are very dark, such
as in a tunnel, etc.
僅 The brightness changes suddenly,
e.g., when entering or exiting a tunnel
僅 It is dark outside, or the headlamps
are not on or are not bright
僅 Only part of a vehicle is detected
