8) Fix the ITB unit [1] with the tip-resistant arm [2] (Fix in the lower one of
the 2 grooves).
9) Cover the drum cartridges with the drum protective sheet [3].
Cover it with drum protective sheet [3] immediately after fixing the ITB unit
[1].
If time elapses, photosensitive drum is exposed to light and will be deterio-
rated.

Points to note when closing the ITB unit
When closing the ITB unit [1], be sure to remove the tip-resistant arm [2]. If
closing the ITB unit with the tip-resistant arm fixed, the tip-resistant arm
may be broken.
10) Remove the ITB unit [2] in the direction of the arrow while pressing the
ITB lock lever [1].
Points to note when removing the ITB unit
Hold the grip [1] when removing the ITB unit.

Place the removed ITB unit with the surface facing the photosensitive drum
downward.
In the case that the surface facing the photosensitive drum is placed upward,
the ITB lock lever [1] may be broken.
