8.11 Parts Replacement Procedure
8.11.1 Pickup Unit 1
8.11.1.1 Before Removing the Cassette Pickup Unit 1

1) Detach the rear right cover. (page 10-15)[Detaching the Rear Right
Cover]
2) Detach the right cover. (page 10-36)[Opening/Detaching the Right Cov-
er]
3) Detach the right lower cover. (page 10-14)[Detaching the Right Lower
Cover]
8.11.1.2 Removing the Cassette Pickup Unit 1

1) Pull out the cassette 1 and 2.
2) Remove the manual feed pickup gear [1].
- 1 claw [2]
3) Free the cables from the 3 wire saddles [3], the 2 edge saddles [4] and the
cable guide.
4) Disconnect the 3 connectors [5].

5) Remove the cassette pickup unit 1 [1].
- 1 screw of grounding wire [2]
- 4 screws [3]

2) Open the right cover fully (to the point where it does not interfere with oth-

3) Detach the right lower cover. (page 10-14)[Detaching the Right Lower

1) Pull out the cassette 1 and 2.
2) Remove the connector [1] and free the cable from the edge saddle and the
guide.
3) Remove the cassette pickup unit 2 [3].
- 4 screws [2]
