Complete Maintenance Functions with System Monitoring Capability
The CompoNet network system is constantly monitored to enable to confirm system safety by quickly
isolating errors and checking communications status.
 CX-Integrator
The CX-Integrator provides the following network functionality.
• Uploading the network system configuration
• Editing and transferring software setting tables
• Editing and transferring registration tables
• Setting Input Data Zero Clear Mode in case of a communications error
• Setting I/O Communications Manual Startup Mode
• Monitoring the Master Unit status
• Monitoring the Master Unit error log
• Monitoring each Slave Unit's network participation status
• Setting and transferring Slave Unit parameters
• Monitoring Slave Unit information
• Managing files
• Managing hardware (EDS files)
 Smart Slave Function
Some Slave Unit models provide the Smart Slave function that can store various value-added infor-
mation in addition to the ON/OFF signals (I/O data). This enables preventive system maintenance
by operation time monitoring and contact operation count monitoring and aids in quicker system
startup by communications power voltage monitoring and I/O power status monitoring. Various func-
tion settings are possible from either the CX-Integrator or through message communications.
Additional Information
The Smart Slave function is not implemented in this CompoNet Communications Unit.
 Master Unit Detection of Network Participation, Errors, and Status
When a Slave Unit joins the network, the bit corresponding to the node address (Participation Flag)
will turn ON. If a Slave Unit that participates in the network leaves the network due to an error, the bit
corresponding to the node address (Error Flag) will turn ON.
Network status, such as communications errors and overlapping Slave Unit node address, and
Slave Unit diagnostic results are detected by the Master Unit. The ditection is displayed on the
7-segment LED display on the front panel and reflected in the Status Flags.
