6-3 Errors on Inverter or CompoNet
Communications Unit
If an error occurs in the inverter or CompoNet Communications Unit, an error code is displayed on the
Digital Operator's LED indicator.
This section provides information on the error code, assumed cause, and corrective action mainly
related to errors on the CompoNet Communications Unit.
For errors related to the inverter, refer to Section 7 Maintenance Operations of the MX2 User's Manual
(Cat. No. I570) and 10-1 Alarm Codes and Remedies of the RX User's Manual (Cat. No. I578).

Error Codes Related to CompoNet Communications Error

If an error occurs during CompoNet communications, it is indicated with the MS/NS LED indicators on
the CompoNet Communications Unit, as well as the inverter error code. Check the content of the error
according to the MS/NS LED indicators and the error code. The table below shows the error and the
corrective action.

6 Troubleshooting
Corrective Action
If you use Registration Table function, check if the
number of words occupied by input/output assem-
bly in registration table matches Remote I/O setting.

This error may occur if Device Node Address
(P190) is changed when communication connection
is established. Cycle the power supply of the
inverter.
Check (and correct) the following items:
• Does Master Unit or any other slave device on
CompoNet network also use the same node
address?
Check (and correct) the following items:
• Is CompoNet Master Unit sending IDLE mes-
sages? Check P048 and select an operation from
Operation at Idle Mode Detection Setting.
