The 700 Series Computer has the following modem options:
S Modem dock that provides charging and includes a built-in modem and
a serial port between which an application can switch.
S Mini-Landline modem that can be tethered to the port on the bottom
of the 700 Monochrome Computer.
Note: MultiMediaCards (MMCs) and Secure Digital (SD) storage cards
are not supported in 700 Monochrome Computers.
To access the CompactFlash (CF) card slot, locate the access door at the
top of the 700 Series Computer, remove its two screws, then remove the
door. See the 700 Series Monochrome Mobile Computer Quick Start Guide
P/N: 962-054-061 for more information.
The CF card slot accepts a storage card or the 802.11b radio, which is fac-
tory-installed and cannot be removed.
This is the top of the 700 Monochrome Computer. Note that the keypad is to the top in this
illustration.
Radios are installed at the factory and cannot be installed by a user. The
700 Series Computer must be serviced to install or replace a radio. Contact
your Intermec representative for more information. See Chapter 4, "Net-
work Support" for information about supported radios.
