7 OPERATION

FITTING THE MUFM 160CM FLAIL TO THE MACHINE ____________________
Note: That it is important to ensure that the machine has been fitted with the correct flail deck lift arms,
counterweights and bump stops prior to attaching the flail.
1. With the lift arms (A) in the lower position, align the deck mounting brackets (B) with the self-aligning
bearings.
2. Fit pivot pins (C) and secure with cotter pins and rings.
3. Connect the deck hoses to the tractor by either –
a. Attaching the hard-routed motor hoses directly to the Cutter Valve (ensure the hoses are routed
through the Guide Loop)
i. The hose from the motor port nearest to the machine connects to the Cutter Valve port A
ii. The hose from the motor port furthest away from the machine connects to the Cutter
iii.There is no Drain hose when fitting the MUFM 160 Flail
b. Attaching the hoses supplied with Quick Release Couplings (QRC) to the ports found on the
QRC Bulkhead
i. The hose from the motor port nearest to the machine connects to the LH QRC port
ii. The hose from the motor port furthest away from the machine connects to the RH QRC
iii.There is no Drain hose when fitting the Flail
