Removing the CPU
Figure 138: Unlatching the socket release lever
▶ Unlatch the socket release lever by pushing it down and away from the
socket (1).
▶ Fold back the socket release lever (2).

▶ Rotate the socket release lever to lift the load plate away from the socket
(1).
Make sure that the load plate is in the fully open position.
▶ Carefully remove the CPU from its socket in a vertical motion (2).
