Identify the RJ45 patch panel associated with the function groups identified above.

Connect the RJ45 cable from the first RJ45 on the patch panel to the Ethernet port on your
PC.

Watch for the link LED to light on the PC's Ethernet card or wait for 30 seconds and then
disconnect the RJ45 cable from the patch panel.

The Fault LED will start flashing on the LNW74 or LNW87 and the GUI will alarm the
port under test and display a Critical Alarm inc.FE-LAN LOS in the Alarm List.

Verify that the port you are connected to matches the one listed in the aid of the FE-LAN
LOS alarm output.
