6.3.2
Connect components on the outdoor crane
Note
Use a regulated switched-mode power supply
Use a regulated switched-mode power supply: 24 V/at least 10 A, surge-proof.
Next, connect the SIMOCRANE CenSOR components.
Heaters
The heaters of the camera housing and the reflector are self-regulating. The heaters are
equipped with a temperature sensor. If the ambient temperature never falls below 15 °C, it is not
necessary to connect the heaters to the power supply.
Stainless steel housing
NOTICE
An appropriate strain relief must be available for the cable
The camera housing must not bear the weight of the cable (24 V 3 x 4 mm²).
Always prevent the cable from being torn out of the PG bushing by securing it to the crane by
means of cable ties and loops.
Provide adequate strain relief by proper routing of the cable to the power supply.
• Connect the following cables that are included in the scope of delivery:
– RJ45 Ethernet
– 24 V, 3 x 4 mm² open cable end; for the power supply to the camera and to the heater
• Wire the power supply to the camera housing according to the circuit diagram. The circuit
diagram is on the SIMOCRANE CenSOR product DVD.
The following table lists the pin assignment of the cable:
