2.2 Hardware Components
The device consists of the following hardware components:

LEDs
The device consists of 3 LEDs which indicate the status as follows:
‒ Fault LED (Red)
Indicates when a ground-fault is detected
‒ Battery LED (Amber)
Indicates the health of the battery on pressing of the push-button
‒
Auxiliary LED (Green)
Indicates that the device is operating on the auxiliary voltage

Flag indicator - The device consists of 1 flag indicator for indicating the ground-fault.

Binary output (BO)
The device consists of the following binary outputs:
‒ Ground-fault BO
The device has 2 binary output contacts (1 changeover (CO) type + 1 normally open (NO) type
spare) for indicating the ground-fault status remotely to SCADA via FRTU/RTU.
‒
Battery Health BO
The device also has 1 dedicated binary output (NO type) for indicating battery health state remotely
to SCADA via FRTU/RTU.
‒ Signal Lamp BO
The device comes with a signal lamp BO for connecting to Siemens signal lamp accessory for
ground-fault indication.

DIP switch - The DIP switch is used for configuring the response time, auto reset time, and other settings.
For more information about DIP the switch, refer to 5.4.1 DIP Switch Overview .

Fault reset inputs - The device consists of fault reset inputs for resetting the fault indication in the device
via the push-button, AC/DC BI reset, and remote reset. For more information on the various fault reset
options, refer to 5.2 Fault Reset .

Push button - The push-button is used for resetting the fault indication by the device manually, for
executing the function check (Fn Chk) and battery check (Batt Chk). For more information on push-
button, refer to 5.3 Push Button.
Only available in dual-powered SICAM EFI variants.
