8.3 Calibration

Press the "Take upper position" button.
The color of the button changes from gray to green.
Calibration successful
If calibration was successful, both buttons are displayed with a green background. The current
measured values are displayed below the reflector image and can be used for checking the
calibration.

Calibration unsuccessful
If the calibration cannot be completed successfully:
• Check the parameters stored in the current program. Also refer to the chapter Application
(Page 67). Calibration requires that the program has been set up without errors.
• You should also make sure that no objects are blocking the camera's view of the reflector.
Saving the results
After a successful calibration, the "Save" button (diskette icon) is activated. Use this to save the
calibration parameters in the currently selected program.

Changing the program selection
Each program has its own calibration parameters. This makes it possible to simultaneously
create several programs with different calibrations. This could be useful, for example, if the
position of the reflector relative to the camera changes due to a change in the load suspension
device that has been necessitated for operational reasons. Depending on the operating mode, a
different program (and consequently a different calibration) can then be selected. Refer to the
chapter Assignment of the interfaces relevant to PROFINET IO (Page 121) for program selection
changes that are performed by a controller.
