Commissioning and validation

8.1

Initial commissioning

Step
Set the address.
Install the module in the IndraControl S20 station.
Connect the lines for the bus system and the supply voltag‐
es to the IndraControl S20 station.
Wire the outputs according to your application.
Before applying the operating voltage:
● Ensure that there are no wiring errors (e.g. cross-fault
or short circuit) or grounding errors using a multimeter.
● Ensure that the functional earthing is connected.
Connect the required voltages to the IndraControl S20 mod‐
ule.

After applying the operating voltage:
● If possible, measure the ripple of the voltages to en‐
sure that there are no deviations.
● Measure the input voltages at the module to ensure
that they are within the valid range.
● Check whether the module starts without errors using
the LEDs on the module.
Check the mounting and installation.
Make the required parameterizations.
Program the safety function.
Perform a function test and the validation. Check whether
the safety function responds as planned during programming
and parameterization.
Check whether the module started correctly and whether er‐
rors are displayed when adding the supply voltages using
the diagnostic and status displays.
