Convention Description
The word "syntax" means you must evaluate the syntax

provided and supply the appropriate values. Placeholders
appear in angle brackets for values that you must supply.
Example:
In this example, you must supply the username for <name>
and phone number for <number>.
The word "command" means you must enter the command

exactly as shown in text and press the Return or Enter key.
Example:
Screen displays This typeface represents information as it appears on the
screen.
The words "enter" When you see the uppercase word "enter" in this guide,
and "type" press the Enter key. Do not press Enter when an instruction
simply says "type."
Words in italics Italics are used to indicate the following:

uppercase and lowercase letters. However, you can
abbreviate commands by entering only the uppercase
letters and the appropriate value. Commands are not
case-sensitive.

Denote a new term at the place where it is defined in the
text.
Identify CLI command parameters, for example:
Supply the IP address parameter.
