Table 23-5 Menu 11.1 Remote Node Profile (Backup ISP)
FIELD
Pri Phone #
Enter the first (primary) phone number from the ISP for this remote
node. If the Primary Phone number is busy or does not answer, your
Sec Phone #
ZyWALL dials the Secondary Phone number if available. Some areas
require dialing the pound sign # before the phone number for local calls.
Include a # symbol at the beginning of the phone numbers as required.
Edit PPP
Move the cursor to this field and use the space bar to select [Yes] and

press [Enter] to edit the PPP options for this remote node. This brings
you to Menu 11.2 - Remote Node PPP Options (see section 23.6).
Rem IP Addr
Leave the field set to 0.0.0.0 (default) if the remote gateway has a
dynamic IP address. Enter the remote gateway's IP address here if it is
static.
Edit IP
This field leads to a "hidden" menu. Press [SPACE BAR] to select Yes
and press [ENTER] to go to Menu 11.3 - Remote Node Network Layer
Options. See section 23.7 for more information.
Edit Script
Press [SPACE BAR] to select Yes and press [ENTER] to edit the AT
Options
script for the dial backup remote node (Menu 11.4 - Remote Node
Script). See section 23.8 for more information.
Telco Option
Allocated
Enter the maximum number of minutes that this remote node may be
Budget
called within the time period configured in the Period field. The default
for this field is 0 meaning there is no budget control and no time limit for
accessing this remote node.
Period(hr)
Enter the time period (in hours) for how often the budget should be
reset. For example, to allow calls to this remote node for a maximum of
10 minutes every hour, set the Allocated Budget to 10 (minutes) and
the Period to 1 (hour).
Nailed-Up
Press [SPACE BAR] to select Yes to set this connection to always be

on, regardless of whether or not there is any traffic. Select No to have
this connection act as a dial-up connection.
Session Options
Edit Filter sets
This field leads to another "hidden" menu. Use [SPACE BAR] to select
Yes and press [ENTER] to open menu 11.5 to edit the filter sets. See
section 23.9 for more details.
