68 Converting an Avaya S8300 Media Server Between ICC and LSP Modes
Task
Steps/Comments
If you are going to replace an S8300A with
an S8300B, you will need new license/
authentication files.
If the S8300 (A or B) is in LSP mode, and
the primary controller that will support the
LSP is being migrated to Communication
Manager 2.x+, you need to create a new
license file for the primary controller.
Go to

Downloads to see if there is a service pack file
available for the Communication Manager
release to which you are upgrading. For
example, release 3.0, load 337. If there is a
service pack file available, download it and take
it to the site.
If you have a TFTP server configured on
your services laptop, you can read the
Unity CD and transfer the software to the
S8300B Media Server from your laptop.
Alternatively, the Communication Manager
software can be read from an external
USB CD-ROM drive.
