Pre-upgrade service pack requirements
Steps/Comments
Fill in each Configure Server screen with
data for the ICC. Some of the configuration
data will be the same as that for the LSP.
If enabling IA770 H.323 Integrated
Messaging, fill in the Ethernet 1
Integrated Messaging fields on the
Configure Ethernet Interfaces Web
screen.
If retaining CWY1 IA770 messaging
integration, leave the Ethernet 1
Integrated Messaging fields on the
Configure Ethernet Interfaces Web
screen blank.
On the Configure Local Survivable
Processor screen, select the radio button
that indicates this is NOT a local survivable
processor.
Assign node names.
Administer network regions.
Associate other LSPs (if any) with a
network region.
Administer the LSP screen.
Add media gateway.
Repeat for each gateway to be controlled
by the converted LSP.
For this scenario, the gateway will not
automatically register with the primary controller
at this point. Skip the subtasks, Verify Changes
and Save Translations in this section.
When the gateway finally registers, the media
modules will automatically populate, unless you
are doing administration without hardware
(AWOH). In that case, you will have to enter the
media module types for each slot.
