Method of operation
In this case, there is no SS1 delay time active. The transition from SS1 to
•
STO depends entirely on the speed falling below the shutdown speed
(p9560).
Parameters r9773.4 (SBC requested) and r9773.1 (STO selected in the
•
drive) display the current status of the function.
With external stop, "Safe Stop 1" functions in principle in just the same
•
way as for "Safe Stop 1 with encoder (time and acceleration-controlled)"
and "Safe Stop 1 without encoder (speed-controlled)". However, note the
following differences:
–
When SS1 with external stop is selected, the drive is not braked along
the OFF3 ramp: You are responsible in applying suitable measures to
brake the drive. After the delay time has expired (p9556), only
STO/SBC are automatically triggered. After the function has been se-
lected, the delay timer runs down - even if the function is deselected
during this time. In this case, after the delay time has expired, the
STO/SBC function is selected and then again deselected immediately.
–
The brake ramp (SBR) and the acceleration (SAM) are not monitored
and there is no standstill detection.
–
With this configuration, STO becomes active after the SS1 timer p9556
has expired; this also applies when SBR has been configured.
Parameters r9773.4 (SBC requested) and r9773.1 (STO selected in the
•
drive) display the current status of the function.
