5-1. Emergency stop switch

(2) Precautions with the emergency stop switch
When emergency stop swtch 1 stays ON, the sewng machne cannot be powered up even f you turn
ON/OFF the power swtch. The work clamp foot of the sewng machne may depress the loop clamp or
the belt loop loosenng rod accordng to the operaton tmng of emergency stop swtch 1 . If ths phe-
nomenon occurs, turn OFF the power to the sewng machne and manually lft the work clamp foot of
the sewng machne to move t so as to avod nterference. Then, re-turn ON the power to the sewng
machne.
Emergency stop swtch 1 s mounted on the up-
per left secton of the sewng machne head.
Emergency stop swtch 1 s turned ON by strong-
ly pressng n the red button. It s turned OFF by
turnng t counterclockwse.
If you turn ON emergency stop swtch 1 whle the
machne s n operaton, the power s turned OFF
to cause the machne to stop operaton.
I f y o u t u r n o F F e m e r g e n c y s t o p
switch 1 with the power switch re-
mained on, the power is re-turned
on. take care of abrupt re-turn on of
the power.
To turn OFF the power for any purpose other than
an emergency stop, operate the power swtch.
