2-13. Belt loop teaching function

Ths functon works to measure the thckness of mult-layered part of a belt loop and to enable settng of
the automatc mult-layered part detecton. "Enable/dsable" of the automatc mult-layered part detectng
functon can be selected by means of the memory swtch. (Intal state: Enable)
1. For this function, the belt-loop draw-out button should be pressed with a belt-loop
placed on the belt-loop draw-out device.
2. If there is little difference between the largest measured thickness and smallest one at
the time of data confirmation, the warning screen M601 is displayed since the error (E379)
"feed out amount of multi-layered part of material is abnormal" can occur when feeing
the actual belt loop.
To use this function, confirm data after the teaching of both the normal thickness and
the multi-layered part thickness of the belt loop.

1 Displaying the teaching screen for belt loop thickness setting
When you press belt loop thckness teachng button
on the belt loop ndvdual sewng data entry screen or on the
cycle sewng data entry screen, the teachng screen for the
belt loop thckness settng s dsplayed. If the sewng screen

(green) s dsplayed, press the set ready key
the data entry screen (blue).
2 Measuring the belt loop thickness
When you press draw-out button
a belt loop on the belt-loop feeder unt, the feeder unt draws

out the belt loop to measure the belt loop thckness. The mea-
sured value s dsplayed on G . As long as you keep the draw-

out button held pressed, the value shown on G s updated.

Largest value J and smallest value K of the belt loop thckness
calculated on the bass of the measured value are dsplayed.

3 correcting the measured value
Based on the measured value, value H whch s used for the
determnaton of the presence of a mult-layered part of the belt

loop and value I whch s used for the determnaton of the
absence of a belt loop are automatcally calculated. If you want
to correct the calculated values, you can change them usng +/-
buttons
4 Confirming your entry
Press enter button
is confirmed. If you want to cancel the measured value, press
cancel button
Initial value H to discriminate the multi-layered part
of belt loop and initial value I to discriminate no belt-
loop state can be set by means of memory switches
