Check that the place between lower lne B and up-
per lne A is filled with oil. Fill there with oil using
the oler suppled wth the machne as accessores
when ol s short.
* The oil tank which is filled with oil is only for lubri-
catng to the hook porton.
It s possble to reduce the ol amount when the
number of rotaton used s low and the ol amount
n the hook porton s excessve. (Refer to
Amount of oil supplied to the hook",
Loosen setscrew 1 and hold needle 2 wth the
long groove facng 3 toward you. Then fully nsert
t nto the hole n the needle bar, and tghten set-
screw 1 .

1. Do not lubricate to the places other
than the oil tank and the hook of
caution 2 below. trouble of compo-
nents will be caused.
2. When using the sewing machine for
the first time or after an extended
period of disuse, use the machine
after lubricating a small amount of
oil to the hook portion. (refer to
"#-1-3. Adjusting the needle-to-
hook relation",
p.131.)
If the seam shown in A is produced,
adjust the needle orientation slightly in
direction B .
