5-5. Adjusting the belt loop tension

5-6. setting the belt loop thickness

When you have changed the belt loop, you need to re-adjust the
A
belt loop tenson wthout exceptons.
Press the belt loop tenson button
screen.
The more the belt loop tenson s adjusted n a negatve drec-
ton, the less the belt loop tenson becomes. (The belt loop ten-
son can be set and stored n memory on a sewng-pattern by
sewng-pattern bass.)
As a gude, adjust the belt loop tenson so that the entre length
of the belt loop fed from the belt loop feedng secton and
clamped at the belt loop clampng secton s shorter than the
entre belt loop length dsplayed when selectng a sewng pat-
tern by approxmately 1 mm.
If the sewing machine is operated under a high belt
loop tension, the entire length of the belt loop fed
becomes shorter than required. In this case, prob-
lems such that the belt loop cannot be sewing at
the predetermined length or that the cut end of the
belt loop is not straight can occur. to prevent such
problems, adjust the belt loop tension adequately.
When you use a new belt loop, you need to set the belt loop
thckness wthout exceptons. If the belt loop has mult-layered
parts (splces), thckness of the mult-layered part has also to
be set.
Press belt loop thckness teachng button
eraton panel screen.
Route the belt loop to be used n the predetermned manner
and press belt loop feedng button
fed as long as the feed key s held pressed. As long as you
A
keep the feed key held pressed, the belt loop s fed. Be sure to
press the enter button
normal-thckness part and mult-layered part of the belt loop un-
der the mult-layered part detectng secton.
1. If the belt loop thickness is smaller than the pre-
determined value, the belt loop presence/absence
detector of the belt loop drawing device may
determine that the belt loop is absent even if the
belt loop is present. If the aforementioned error
B
occurs, operate the sewing machine with the belt
loop presence/absence detecting function dis-
abled.
2. As a guide, the belt loop thickness is 1 to 1.8 mm.
If the belt loop thickness exceeds the aforemen-
tioned range, the belt loop clamping section and
the work clamp foot of the sewing machine can
C
interfere with each other. to prevent this, be sure
to perform trial stitching in prior to confirm no
interference between them. then, start sewing.
