Recorder found but not recording data correctly.
Recorder Assembly.
In BBTALK type "R?" for the recorder menu.
Next type "RT" followed by a CR to perform a non-destructive
recorder diagnostics test. The results should look like
"0 1 14 0 0 ".

digits should be zero. A non-zero number in
one of these digits indicates a failure.

The 2
digit is the number of PCMCIA cards in the recorder (1
or 2).

The 3
digit is the hexadecimal (h14=20, or ha=10)
representation of the number of megabytes of recorder memory
installed.
"Modem Not Found"
Modem Interface Board. Modem. ADFM Motherboard
Check Modem Interface Board connections to motherboard and
to Modem. Replace if necessary.
In BBTALK type "MT" followed by a CR. Then type "AT"
followed by a CR. AN "OK" should be displayed; if not the
Modem may be defective.
If none of the above works the ADFM Motherboard may need
replacement.
Modem found but does not dial out.
Modem. Phone Line. ADFM Motherboard.
In BBTALK type "MT" followed by a CR. Then type "AT"
followed by a CR. AN "OK" should be displayed; if not the
Modem may be defective.
If successful in (2), type "ATDT1" followed by CR. If the
message "No Dial Tone" appears the phone line, or phone
connections may be defective.
If none of the above works the ADFM Motherboard may need
replacement.
