Click Save, then click Close.

Open the network plan for the site, or select File > New to create a new network plan.

Select Config > Insert > WLAN—Security Switch to access the Create WLAN Security Switch wizard.
10 Enter a name for the switch in the WSS Name box.
11 Select the switch model.
12 Enter the serial number in the Serial Number box.
13 Configure other parameters as required for the switch's deployment.
14 Click Finish to save the switch configuration and close the wizard.
Leave WLAN Management Software Services running, with the network plan open. When the switch is powered on at
the remote site (and the factory reset switch is pressed, if an 2350), the switch contacts WLAN Management Software
Services to request a configuration.
After the remote switches have their configurations, Nortel recommends that you disable the WLAN Management
Software Services option to accept self-signed certificates.
Uploading a Partially Configured Switch and Completing its Configuration with
WLAN Management Software
Even if you do not know the serial number of a WSS, you still can configure the switch in WLAN Management
Software . When the switch contacts WLAN Management Software for a configuration, WLAN Management Software
generates a warning message such as the following:
No Matching configuration found for serial number – serial-number; IP=ip-addr
You can upload the switch into WLAN Management Software , complete its configuration, then deploy the complete
configuration back to the switch.

Open the Verification tab and click on the warning message.

In the Resolutions section, click on Upload WSS to display the Upload WLAN Security Switch wizard.
The IP address is already filled in.

Type the Enable password, if one is configured on the switch. If an Enable password has not been
configured yet, leave the Enable Password box blank.

Click Finish.
WLAN Management Software uploads the configuration file from the switch into the network plan. The
switch appears in the Equipment section of the Organizer panel.

Right-click on the switch and select Edit. The Modify Mobility Exchange wizard appears.

Create or modify parameter settings for the switch.
After you complete all the changes, make sure you save the changes by clicking Finish at the bottom of
the Modify Mobility Exchange wizard.

Select Manage > Verification from the menu bar in the main WLAN Management Software window.
The Verification tab appears.

Select the Config Verification tab.

Review any error or warning messages for the switch.
