21. Authentication / authorization rules
Mechanism the 2350 uses to authenticate
users before authorizing them to access the
network. You can use configure rules that
use the following authentication types:
• 802.1X—The most secure, but
requires configuration of each
wireless client's network
interface card (NIC).
Note: 802.1X authentication is required for
encrypted SSIDs.
Clear (unencrypted) SSIDs can use any of
the following authentication types.
• WebAAA—For wireless clients
who do not have 802.1X.
• MAC—For wireless clients such
as PDAs and cell phones that do
not have usernames and
passwords.
• Last-resort—For guest access by
a user who is not configured in
the RADIUS servers or 2350
local database.
