(3) Key Operation
LINE
Press to change the printer from the on-line to
off-line state and vice versa. When on-line, the
printer can receive information and communi-
cate with connected computers. When off-line,
the software menus can be accessed and infor-
mation cannot be received by the printer.
FORM FEED
Press to eject any data that remains in the
printer memory. This key has no effect when
the printer is on-line.
RESET
Press to erase all data that remains in the
printer memory. This key has no effect when
the printer is on-line.
MENU
Press to access a menu of the printer control
software. The MENU key only operates when
the printer is off-line. This key has no effect
when the printer is on-line.
ITEM
Press to select an item of a menu of the printer
control software. This key has no effect when
the printer is on-line.
DOWN and UP
Press to change the set value of an item of a
menu of the printer control software. This key
has no effect when the printer is on-line.
ENTER
Press to save the value selected with the
DOWN and UP keys
memory. This key has no effect when the
printer is on-line.
