(5) Removing the Protective Pins for the Fusing
Unit
1) With the front cabinet still open, press the fusing unit lid release
button on the rear side of the front cabinet and open the fusing
unit lid.
2) Remove the tape, labeled with an arrow, that is attached to the
string between the protection pins of the fusing unit. Then remove
the protection pins from the fusing unit.
(6) Installing the Oil Bottle
The printer comes with two oil bottles. Install one into the printer now
and store the other one for future use. When REPL OIL BOTTLE
appears in the display of the control panel, replace the used oil bottle
with the one in storage.
1) Remove the oil bottle from its protective bag. Hold the cap of the
oil bottle by its handle and remove the cap from the oil bottle.
2) Hold the bottle while squeezing the lock lever located on the
middle of its rear side. Then securely insert the oil bottle into the
fusing unit until it clicks into place.
(7) Installing the Fuser Cleaner
1) Remove the fuser cleaner from its protective bag. Hold the fuser
cleaner by the handles on its sides and insert it into the fuser unit
so that the arrow mark is on the right side.
