A constant tension is applied to the OPC drum unit by the spring and the cover so that the OPC
drum is fixed at the specified position.
Removes residual toner and foreign materials from the OPC drum.
Prevents against attachment of excessive toner and foreign materials.
Charges the OCP drum surface negatively by corona discharge.
This shaft is electrically connected to the OPC drum aluminum layer to ground the aluminum
layer.
Supplies a voltage to the main charger grid.
This rotating brush removes residual toner and foreign materials from the OPC drum.
Transports waste toner to the waste toner bottle.
Prevents waster toner from dropping from the cleaner section.
This is charged by the main charger to form electrostatic latent images by the laser beams then
to form visible images by toner development.
There is a fuse inside this PWB to detect whether the OPC drum is a virgin or not. When a virgin
OPC drum is installed, the fuse is blown off to reset the OPC counter. This also detects the
presence of the OPC drum unit.
