2. Jam Recover
To ensure high speed printing, when the paper is passing through the
fusing section (fusing is not completed), the machine becomes ready
to receive the next print image data (two or more originals) con-
tinuously. (Jam recover OFF) Because of this, when the paper has
passed the fusing section (fusing is not completed), the image data in
the printer frame buffer which is passing the fusing section is cleared.
When, therefore, a paper jam occurs while the paper is passing the
fusing section (fusing is not completed), the image data of that page
is cleared. After removing the jam, the image data of the page which
was not fused is sent again to be printed.
On the other hand, when the jam recover is set to ON, the image data
clear timing in the printer frame buffer is delayed.
The page image data in the printer frame buffer is cleared after the
paper has passed the fusing section (fusing is not completed).
When, therefore, a paper jam occurs while the paper is passing the
fusing section, the page image data is not cleared.
When the jam is removed, therefore, the page image date remained
in the printer frame buffer is printed.
In conclusion, when the jam recover is set to ON, the recovery time
from a paper jam becomes short but printing speed of continuous
data becomes low.
