Carefully pull the drive pump out until the
pump coupler separates from the flex plate.

Remove the drive pump from the machine.
Component damage hazard.
The pump(s) may become
unbalanced and fall if not
properly supported.
Component damage hazard.
The engine must not be started
with the hydraulic tank shut-off
valves in the closed position or
component damage will occur. If
the tank valves are closed,
remove the key from the key
switch and tag the machine to
inform personnel of the
condition.

How to Prime the Pump

Connect a 0 to 600 psi / 0 to 40 bar pressure
gauge to the diagnostic nipple on the drive
pump.

Continental models: If equipped, close the
valve on the LPG tank, then disconnect the
hose from the tank. Move the fuel select toggle
switch to the LPG position.
Deutz and Perkins models: Disconnect the
engine wiring harness from the fuel solenoid at
the injector pump.

Crank the engine with the starter motor for 15
seconds, wait 15 seconds, then crank the
engine an additional 15 seconds or until the
pressure reaches 300 psi / 20.7 bar.

Continental models: If equipped, connect the
LPG hose to the LPG tank and open the valve
on the tank.
Deutz and Perkins models: Connect the
engine wiring harness to the fuel solenoid.

Start the engine from the ground controls and
check for hydraulic leaks.

Component damage hazard. Be
sure that the hydraulic tank
shutoff valves (if equipped) are in
the open position before priming
the pump. The engine must not
be started with the hydraulic tank
shutoff valves in the closed
position or component damage
will occur.
