Replacing the middle hot-swap fan
This topic provides instructions for how to install the replacement middle
hot-swap fan.
About this task
To install the replacement middle hot-swap fan, complete the following steps:
Procedure
1. Lower the fan into the socket, and push it downward until it clicks into place.
2. Make sure that the fan error LED on the replacement fan is off.
3. Install the top cover (see "Replacing the top cover" on page 107).
Removing a hot-swap power supply
This topic provides precautions for removing or installing a hot-swap power
supply.

Note: Two power supplies must be installed in the server for either power supply
to be considered hot-swap.
When you remove or install a hot-swap power supply, observe the following
precautions.

Never remove the cover on a power supply or any part that has the following
label attached.
Hazardous voltage, current, and energy levels are present inside any component
that has this label attached. There are no serviceable parts inside these
components. If you suspect a problem with one of these parts, contact a service
technician.
