COLD START INJECTOR REMOVAL
(See Components for Removal and Installation)
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE TERMINAL
OF BATTERY
2. DISCONNECT COLD START INJECTOR CONNEC–
TOR
3. REMOVE COLD START INJECTOR
(a) Put a suitable container or shop towel under the cold
start injector tube.
(b) Remove the union bolt and two gaskets, and discon–
nect the cold start injector tube.
HINT: Slowly loosen the union bolt.
(c) Remove the two nuts and cold start injector with the
gasket.
COLD START INJECTOR INSPECTION
1. CHECK INJECTION OF COLD START INJECTOR
(a) Install cold start injector tube, two new gaskets and
union bolt to the injector.
Torque: 15 N–m (150 kgf–cm. 11 ft–Ibf)
(b) Connect the SST (wire) to the injector.

CAUTION: Position the injector as far away from the
battery as possible.
(c) Put a container under the injector.
(d) Turn the ignition switch ON.
HINT: Do not start the engine.
(e) Using SST, connect terminals FP and +B of the DLC
1.
