Printhead removal

Warning: Do not interchange screws during reinstallation, as it may damage the machine. Always take note of
their original placement.
Warning: When replacing the printhead, be careful not to touch the printhead nozzle. It can damage and
contaminate the printhead assembly.
Note: Use the fixture to disassemble the printhead assembly.
1.
Remove the power supply. See
2.
Remove the duplex unit. See
3.
Remove the rear cover. See
4.
Remove the left cover. See
5.
Remove the right cover. See
6.
Remove the control panel assembly. See
7.
Remove the wireless card. See
8.
Remove the card reader. See
9.
Remove the ADF/scanner assembly. See
10.
Remove the midframe cover. See
11.
Remove the lower front cover. See
12.
Remove the alignment sensor. See
13.
Remove the printhead carrier card. See
14.
Make sure that the printhead carrier is in the maintenance position.
15.
Lift the tube clip (A), and remove the two T2.6 x 7.6 pan head screws (B) securing the printhead carrier
card holder to the printhead.
