Check if the carrier DC motor and carrier assembly
initialize during POST.
Does the carrier DC motor initialize?

Check if the J8 cable is connected properly to the
system board. Reseat the cable. Check for cable
and connector damages.
Are the J8 cable and connector free from any
damage?

Check if the J18 cable is properly connected to the
system board. Reseat the cable. Check for cable
and connector damages.
Are the J18 cable and connector free from any
damage?
Check if the J1 cable is properly connected to the

system board. Reseat the cable. Check the
connector on carrier card for any damage.

Check the encoder strip for contamination. Clean it
with a piece of cloth.
