8 Boiler water level indicator
Minimum and maximum visual control of water level
in boiler – green LED) (mod. E-S 2Gr)
Visual control of minimum water level in boiler – or-
ange LED (mod. E-S 1Gr)
9 Gauge with mobile needle on a fixed dial with a
double scale.
Visual control of the pump (lower manometer) and
of the boiler pressure (upper manometer) (mod.E-S
2Gr).
Visual control of the boiler pressure (mod. E-S 1Gr).
12 Cup-heater switch (optional).
Two-position switch with led.By turning on the switch
(LED on), the cup heating resistance is power sup-
plied.
14 Tank water level indicator (Mod.S TANK)

7.3. Starting up

Model S – 2 Gr
 Turn on the water supply tap (Fig. 6-2).
 Turn the main switch (Fig. 3-10); the pump is ac-
tivated, filling the boiler.
 When the level has been reached the pump stops,
then activate boiler switch (Fig. 3-11) to begin heat-
ing the water in the boiler then turn each brewing
group until water begins to flow from them.
 Wait for the machine to reach its working pressure,
and to reach the correct thermal balance.
Model S – 1 Gr
 Turn on the water supply tap (Fig. 6-2).
 Turn the main switch (Fig. 3-10); the pump is
activated, filling the boiler. Orange LED (Fig. 3-8)
turns ON
 When the level is reached, the pump stops, the
LED switches OFF, turn on the boiler switch (Fig.
3-11); water is heated in the boiler; then operate
the unit until water is dispensed.
 Wait for the machine to reach its working pressure,
gauge needle (Fig. 3-9), and to reach the correct
thermal balance.
Model S TANK with autonomous tank
 Open the lid on the water-tank and check that the
softener A has been inserted in the dip pipe B;
 Ensure that the air trap C has been inserted in the
appropriate housing;
58
If the air trap is not properly positioned, the
machine may not heat or properly indicate
the lack of water in the tank.
 Fill the tank with 2 litres of water and close the lid;
check the LED (Fig. 4-14)
Turn on main switch (Fig. 4-10); the boiler is filled
and is activated.
Once the boiler is filled, turn on the boiler switch
(Fig. 4-11); the water is heated; then, operate the
unit until the water is dispensed.
Wait for the machine to reach its working pressure,
gauge needle (Fig. 4-9), and to reach the correct
thermal balance.
Model E
Turn on the water supply tap (Fig. 6-2).
Turn the main switch (Fig. 4-10) and the boiler
switch (Fig. 4-11). The pump for boiler filling will
activate (red LED on level indicator (Fig. 3-8)).
Only after reaching the level (green LED on level
indicator Fig. 4-8) the resistances for water heat-
ing in the boiler are powered, then activate every
single group until water comes out.
During the heating phase the LEDs of the keys
switch on in sequence from left to right until the
working pressure is reached.
Only when the rated pressure is reached it is possible
to adjust the doses.
Warning! This sequence will be repeated at
every switching on.
