5.4.7.1 Before Removing the Contact Sensor HP Sensor

1) Detach the copyboard glass. (page 5-17)[Removing the Copyboard

2) Detach the ADF Reading Glass. (page 5-17)[Removing the ADF

5.4.7.2 Removing the Contract Sensor Home Position

1) Pull the drive belt [1] in the direction of the arrow so that the contact image
sensor (CIS) [2] is where indicated in the figure.
2) Remove the CIS home position sensor [3].

When detaching the sensor, do so as if to push it under the claw [2] found at
the rear.

After replacing the sensor, pull the drive belt (rear) [1] in the direction of the
