CYLINDER HEAD

INSTALLING THE CYLINDER HEAD

1. Install:
• dowel pins
• cylinder head gasket
2. Install:
• cylinder head
NOTE:
Pass the timing chain through the timing chain
cavity.
3. Tighten:
• cylinder head nuts 1
• cylinder head nuts 2
• cylinder head bolts 3
NOTE:
• Apply engine oil onto the threads of the cylin-
der head nuts.
• Tighten the cylinder head nuts and bolts in
the proper tightening sequence as shown
and torque them in two stages.

46 Nm (4.6 m · kg, 33 ft · lb)
10 Nm (1.0 m · kg, 7.2 ft · lb)
