ADJUSTING THE REAR BRAKE LOCK LEVER CABLE

ADJUSTING THE REAR BRAKE LOCK
LEVER CABLE
WARNING
Do not use the rear brake lock lever while
driving.
NOTE:
• Place the scooter on the centerstand.
• Before adjusting the rear brake lock lever,
check the rear brake fluid level.
1. Measure:
• rear brake lock lever cable length a
Out of specification → Adjust.
Rear brake lock lever cable length
45 ~ 47 mm (1.77 ~ 1.85 in)
2. Adjust:
• rear brake lock lever cable length

a. Slowly apply the rear brake several times.
b. Turn the adjusting nut 1 until rear brake
lock lever cable length a is 42 ~ 44 mm
(1.65 ~ 1.73 in) with the rear brake lock
lever released.
c. Set the rear brake lock lever, wait more than
5 minutes, and then release the rear brake
lock lever.
d. Turn the adjusting nut 1 until rear brake
lock lever cable length a is 45 ~ 47mm
(1.77 ~ 1.85 in) with the rear brake lock
lever released.
