The following points must be kept in mind:
1.
The system should never be disassembled unless there is a
problem (abnormal operation, etc.).
2.
Only approved tools may be used.
3.
After deciding the purpose of replacing the unit, and the
procedures required, do not carry out any other procedures
which are not absolutely necessary.
4.
Be sure to turn the POWER switch off before beginning.
5.
Be sure to disconnect the ac adapter and all external cables
from the system.
6.
Follow only the fixed, standard procedures.
7.
After replacing a unit, confirm that the system is operating
normally.
8.
Even if the POWER switch is turned off, the system is still
supplied with electric current by the sub battery. During
maintenance activity, you should take enough care so that no
short circuit will occur on the system PCB.
Tools needed for unit replacement:
1.
Phillips Screwdriver
2.
Tweezers

4.2 REMOVING THE TOP COVER ASSEMBLY
The top cover assembly consists of the top cover (A), LCD mask (B), LCD
module (C), and LCD cover (D).
Note: Replacement procedures for these items are detailed in
parts 4.14 to 4.17.

1.
Confirm that the POWER switch is off.
2.
Turn the unit upside down and remove the seven screws (E) from the
base subassembly (F).

3.
Turn the unit back over and remove the main battery (G) by
pushing the latch release (H) to the left and lifting the battery
up and out.

4.
Remove the two screws (I) located beneath the main battery.
