Confirming the Connection Method
This printer supports network and local connection.
Before installing the printer driver, check how the printer is connected. Follow
the driver installation procedure that is appropriate to the connection method.
Network Connection
This printer can be used as a Windows printing port or network printer.
❖ Using this printer as the Windows printing port
Under Windows Vista, network connection can be established over Ethernet
or wireless LAN.
Network connection can be via Standard TCP/IP, LPR, or WSD ports. When
connecting this machine to a computer that is running Windows Vista, we
recommend you use the Standard TCP/IP port.
