STARTING AND DRIVING

Before starting the engine
1. Check the area around the vehicle be-
fore entering it.
2. Adjust seat position, seatback angle,
seat cushion height, head restraint
height, steering wheel angle and steer-
ing column length.
3. Adjust the inside and outside rear view
mirrors.
4. Close all doors.
5. Fasten seat belts.

How to start the engine—
—Cranking hold function
With smart entry and start system
only—
Once you press the "ENGINE START
STOP" switch and release it, the cranking
hold function continues to crank the en-
gine until it starts.
The function stops cranking the engine
after about 25 seconds maximum if the
engine has not started yet. When you
crank the engine again, wait a few sec-
onds and restart it.
If you press and hold the "ENGINE
START STOP" switch, the function will
keep cranking for about 30 seconds maxi-
mum.
