Vehicles with curtain shield airbags—This
system cannot turn off the curtain shield
airbags.

Front passenger airbag on−off indicator
light
Vehicles without smart entry and start sys-
tem—These lights come on when the en-
gine switch is set at the "ON" position. It
goes off after several seconds. This
means the passenger airbag manual on−
off system is operating properly. After a
few seconds, the passenger airbags "ON"
indicator light will come on when the air-
bags are turn on. The passenger airbag
"OFF" indicator light will come on when
the airbags are turn off.
Vehicles with smart entry and start sys-
tem—These lights come on when the
"ENGINE START STOP" switch is set at
IGNITION ON mode. It goes off after
several seconds. This means the passen-
ger airbag manual on−off system is oper-
ating properly. After a few seconds, the
passenger airbags "ON" indicator light will
come on when the airbags are turn on.
The passenger airbag "OFF" indicator light
will come on when the airbags are turn
off.
The SRS warning light and the passenger
airbag "OFF" indicator light will come on
if there is a malfunction in the passenger
airbag manual on−off switch.
Contact any authorized Toyota dealer or
repairer, or another duly qualified and
equipped professional if any of the follow-
ing occur.
