3.3.6 Connection Blade
The Connection Blade option is used to display information on the connection blades that are part of the blade
server system.
Currently supported are the following types of connection blades:
– GbE (Ethernet) Connection Blade
– Ethernet Pass Thru Connection Blade
– SAS Connection Blade
– FC Connection Blade
– FC Pass Thru Connection Blade
– InfiniBand Connection Blade
– Brocade VDX 2730 Connection Blade
– Cisco Nexus B22 Connection Blade
The menu for all these types is the same and looks like this:

The following parameters are displayed:

Product Name
Model Name
Hardware Version
Firmware Version
Asset Tag
User Assigned Name

ServerView BX900 Management Blade
Description
Displays the status. This status can be retrieved by the management blade via a CLI
command.
The URL at which the MMB can be reached using a Web browser.
Displays information on the manufacturer.
Displays the manufacturing date.
Displays the serial number.
Displays the product name.
Displays the model name.
Displays the hardware version.
Displays the firmware version.
Sets a unique asset tag for the connection blade
The name of the connection blade (can be assigned by the user).
Sets the LED off or blinking.
